Boundiali: a new center to boost cattle breeding

The Deputy Prime Minister, Téné Birahima Ouattara, inaugurated at the beginning of July the Panya Cattle Breeding Application and Specialization Center, located in Boundiali, in the north of the country. This infrastructure is part of the government strategy aimed at establishing livestock farming as a pillar of national food sovereignty. During the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister recalled the State's firm commitment to structuring a real livestock industry, capable of generating economic growth and sustainable jobs, particularly for youth. This center should thus train a new generation of breeders and specialized technicians, strengthening local skills in a sector considered strategic for the agricultural future of the country. The initiative is aligned with the vision carried by the President of the Republic, H.E Alassane OUATTARA, who aims to make Côte d'Ivoire a productive, resilient nation and master of its food security. Boundiali, a region with a strong pastoral vocation, thus appears to be a privileged area for experimenting with new breeding practices, likely to be replicated in other areas of the country with strong agropastoral potential.
