Organized in the Congolese capital, which hosted for the first time this major continental meeting bringing together more than 3,000 delegates from the institution's 81 member countries, the Africa Road Builders (ARB) - Babacar N'Diaye 2026 Trophy ceremony paid tribute to the major players in the infrastructure and transport sector in Africa. Fabrice Coulibaly was distinguished alongside heads of leading institutions, notably those of BNETD, ARTI, PMUA as well as the Road Maintenance Funds of Guinea and Liberia. 

This distinction comes in a context where the AfDB, under the leadership of its new President Sidi Ould Tah, places infrastructure at the heart of its development financing strategy. The meetings were held under the theme "Mobilizing resources on a large scale to finance Africa's development in a fragmented world", highlighting an annual need estimated at 400 billion USD to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This Prize illustrates the international recognition of the dynamism of Côte d'Ivoire in the development of its road infrastructure. This initiative led by ACTUROUTES aims to promote the silent builders who are concretely shaping the face of tomorrow's Africa, far from diplomatic forums but closer to the roads that connect people and economies.
