The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production (MINADERPV) had a tête-à-tête with PALMCI a few days ago.  Ivorian leader in the oil palm sector and subsidiary of the SIFCA group since 2008, PALMCI carries out structuring projects. The company, born in 1997 from the privatization of the former state-owned company Palmindustrie, today covers the entire value chain, including the operation of industrial plantations, the production and marketing of crude palm oil and palm kernel oil. Its leaders took advantage of this meeting to request ministerial sponsorship of the 10th edition of Planter's Day, a flagship event for the sector scheduled for September 17 to 19, 2026 in San-Pédro. presented as an essential lever for national agricultural development. A few weeks earlier, Minister Bruno Nabagné Koné increased the number of trips to agricultural sites across the country, a sign of sustained commitment to those on the ground. The oil palm sector is no stranger to institutional visits, PALMCI having already welcomed in the past several official delegations who came to immerse themselves in its integrated operating model.

It remains to be seen whether the sponsorship requested by PALMCI will be formally granted before the September deadline. Official confirmation from the Ministry is now awaited, a few weeks before the opening of Planter's Day in San-Pédro.
