A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production took part in the International Participants Meeting (IPM), organized in Yokohama, Japan. This meeting brings together representatives of the countries called to participate in the International Horticultural Exhibition, scheduled from March 19 to September 26, 2027. According to the organizers, nearly 75 countries and several international organizations are taking part in this work intended to coordinate the technical, organizational and institutional aspects of the event. Led by Commissioner General André Kouassi, Director of Professional Agricultural Organizations, assisted by Deputy Commissioner General Check Koné, Director of Communication and Agricultural Promotion, the Ivorian delegation participates in planning sessions while increasing exchanges with the partners present. The Ministry of Agriculture indicates that this mission is in line with the guidelines of Minister Bruno Nabagné Koné aimed at promoting cooperation opportunities for the development of Ivorian horticulture. the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) and supported by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). According to the organizers, the exhibition will bring together dozens of countries for six months around solutions linked to horticultural production, biodiversity, the greening of cities, the sustainable management of natural resources and food security. In accordance with the guidelines of Minister Bruno Nabagné Koné, the Ivorian delegation is taking advantage of this meeting to promote cooperation opportunities in favor of national horticulture. The exchanges initiated in Yokohama can promote technology transfers, scientific collaborations, training programs as well as investments in the fruit, vegetable, ornamental plant and market gardening sectors. Ivorian participation will have a high point on June 11, 2027, the date chosen for Ivory Coast Day. This official sequence will make it possible to present the country's potential, its agricultural products, its expertise and its ambitions in terms of sustainable agriculture to an audience made up of decision-makers, businesses, researchers and international visitors.

The organization of this exhibition takes place in a context where the issues of food security and adaptation to climate change occupy a central place in agricultural policies global. For participating countries, GREEN EXPO 2027 thus represents a showcase for developing economic and scientific cooperation while sharing innovations likely to support the sustainable transformation of agricultural systems.
