Digital inclusion: UNDP and Orange Côte d’Ivoire join forces

The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and Orange Côte d'Ivoire have formalized a strategic partnership focused on the inclusive digital transformation of the country. The agreement was concluded between Blerta Cela, Resident Representative of UNDP in Côte d'Ivoire, and Mamadou Bamba, Managing Director of Orange Côte d'Ivoire. This partnership is structured around four priority areas, namely the development of digital and professional skills, the promotion of innovation and impactful entrepreneurship, the digital inclusion of remote territories, and the positioning of Côte d'Ivoire as a regional digital hub in West Africa. The stated ambition is to make digital technology a lever for social inclusion by reaching the most vulnerable populations, in particular young people seeking training and women entrepreneurs from secondary towns.
