Real estate: Ivorian banks warn of blockages in the sector
The Minister of Urban Planning, Housing and Living Environment, Moussa Sanogo, received a delegation from the Professional Association of Banks and Financial Establishments of Côte d'Ivoire (APBEFCI), led by its president Habib Blédou. Discussions focused on real estate financing in the face of sharply increasing demand. Banking representatives expressed their desire to support the reduction of the housing deficit, but reported major obstacles such as the cancellation of ACDs, the overlapping of land titles, difficulties in accessing titles and the high cost of mortgages, all of which hinder their engagement in the sector.
